We are in the process of selecting subject matter experts at the top of their field to deliver dynamic, innovative and future-oriented presentations to the country’s most passionate HR audience at the 35th Annual HR West® Conference, March 11 – 13, 2019 in thriving Oakland, CA, just minutes from San Francisco. Concurrent sessions range in length and cover the full expanse of topics relevant to human resources professionals.
The average attendee at HR West has over 15 years’ experience and is at the manager level or above. Our attendees know HR and are seeking to learn about the latest in the field particularly from speakers that are also accomplished HR practitioners.
Speaker Selection Criteria
- Educational content that addresses the ever-evolving definition of work, transforming organizations today and relevant to members of our diverse audience.
- Relevant, interactive, topical proposals that provide new information or skills to use immediately.
- Consultants are encouraged to pair with an HR practitioner to further resonate with the audience.
- Content that is insightful, fresh, and future-oriented and helps our community answer the question, What’s Next?
- While we appreciate that you might have a product to sell, submitting a speaking proposal is not the appropriate fit. Please see our sponsor and exhibitor prospectus for opportunities to reach our audience.
A Note Concerning Honoraria: We look for contributors willing to share their expertise pro bono in the spirit of fulfilling the Association’s mission: “To educate, connect and lead the HR profession to achieve individual and organizational excellence.” HR West does not cover travel, expenses, speaker fees, conference registration fees, or any other expenses. Thank you for your interest and continued support of learning and the HR profession.

If your proposal is accepted by NCHRA, you and any co-presenter guarantee you are the sole proprietors of the material and that no proprietary rights or copyrights belonging to any other person exist or if they do, you have express permission to use the copyrighted material. You further agree to deliver the program session materials/handouts by the established deadlines and understand this information will be distributed to conference attendees. You understand the information submitted may be used in promotional materials and on the NCHRA/HR West Website, and NCHRA may change or shorten your title/description/bio for program clarity and marketing purposes. HR West does not cover travel, expenses, speaker fees, conference registration fees, or any other expenses.
